About Raheny Driving Test Centre
The former Raheny Driving Test Centre served Dublin 5. RSA announced its closure for 18 September 2026 and the transfer of affected applications to Killester. Use the centre and attendance instructions shown in your current MyRoadSafety appointment.
Most candidates are from north and east Dublin, including students and workers. You'll meet plenty of first-time drivers as well as those re-sitting. Car tests are the main focus, but occasional motorcycle and taxi tests also run.
Need an earlier appointment in this part of Dublin? Review Killester and the dates you can attend. The plan links on this page now select Killester.

Tips for Passing at Raheny
Watch out for busy roads and frequent bus lanes around Raheny. The test routes often include tricky roundabouts and narrow residential streets. Rush hour can mean heavier traffic and more parked cars, especially near schools. Practice right turns onto main roads, as visibility can be tight. Road markings fade quickly after rain, so keep your eyes peeled. Some pedestrian crossings are hidden by bends or parked vans.
How to Get to Raheny Test Centre
The former Raheny site is close to Raheny village and Howth Road. DART and several bus routes stop within a short walk. Limited parking is available on side streets, but spaces fill up quickly. For a transferred Killester appointment, plan your journey to the location shown in MyRoadSafety rather than travelling to the former Raheny site.
Cancellation Patterns at Raheny
For an earlier appointment following the Raheny closure, select Killester or another current centre available to your account. Notify alerts you when a potentially suitable date is detected. You review the opening and make the change in MyRoadSafety. Optional AutoBook requires an existing booking and your authorisation after account setup. Do not select the former Raheny centre as though it were still receiving new appointments.
